The University of San Diego received a $12 million gift from the Noyce Foundation, created by the late Intel co-founder Robert Noycet, to bolster science, technology, engineering and math education.  The gift will fund a program called STEM Next, which hopes to prepare students, especially girls and those from underserved areas, for scientific careers.

The University of San Diego’s MBA program ranked 59th in the world, according to an annual survey from Financial Times of the top 100 programs. The previous year USD was ranked 66. It is the only university from San Diego on the list.
