Northrop Grumman Corp. was awarded a one-year, $8.2 million contract modification in support of the MQ-8 Fire Scout unmanned helicopter system, from the U.S. Navy.  Ninety percent of the work will be performed in San Diego — home base for unmanned aircraft programs at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC).

Northrop Grumman Corp. was awarded a three-years, $93.1M contract to develop an unmanned aircraft called TERN, a medium-altitude, long-endurance aircraft.  Northrop’s unmanned systems office in Rancho Bernardo will be the program office. Rancho Bernardo is also home to unmanned aircraft programs such as Global Hawk, Triton and Fire Scout.

Northrop Grumman Corp. – Has been awarded a $114-million advance procurement contract by the US. Air Force.  The purpose is to prepare to build three (3) more high-flying RQ-4 Global Hawk unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and associated sensors.   This contract provides for advance procurement of long lead items associated with three Block 30 aircraft.
